Orthodontic Services

  • Early Treatment (Interceptive Therapy)

Early treatment, or interceptive therapy, for young patients can be very beneficial. Young patients who are deemed not ready for any treatment at their initial exam will be observed and reviewed periodically to monitor growth and development.

  • Two-Phased Treatment (Interceptive - Corrective)

Two-phased orthodontics is also called interceptive – corrective treatment. This approach is different from early treatment because it is more involved and therefore requires more time.

  • Functional Appliance Therapy (Herbst Appliance)

Functional appliance therapy with the Herbst appliance addresses skeletal discrepancies in young patients.

  • Adult Orthodontic Treatment

Adult orthodontic treatment, which has increased tremendously, represents a different approach to treatment than we take with adolescents. Age is not a factor when considering esthetic or functional change in a person's bite.

  • Self-Ligating Braces

Self-ligating braces, while they are braces or attachments placed directly on teeth, represent a new approach to crowding and the expectation of tooth movement. This has had an effect on the consideration for the removal of permanent teeth.

  • Invisalign (Invisible Braces)

Invisalign is performed without using traditional braces to correct crowded teeth. Instead of metal, clear aligners are created to reposition teeth. Invisalign is also removable. Adults and older teens appreciate this convenience.

  • Orthognathic Surgery (Jaw Surgery)

Orthognathic surgery is treatment to correct dental and skeletal discrepancies.

  • Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADS)

Temporary anchorage devices provide skeletal anchorage (vice tooth anchorage) to help move teeth.
